General Info
The acronym AWANA comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15: "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the Word of Truth."
Our goal is reach children, and their families, with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.
Awana meets on Wednesdays from 6:20-7:45 PM during the normal school year (AWANA does not meet during the summer) in the following groups:
Ages 3-4 years of age
Grades 5K - 2
Grades 3-4

Mission/Service Projects
Throughout the year, we will be having various mission/service emphases. Our current mission/service emphases for 2009/2010 are as follows:

October - Blankets for the Homeless
November - Operation Christmas Child
December - Lottie Moon Missions

February - Orphanage Mission Month
March - TBD
April - North American Missions Emphasis
May - TBD
AWANA Bucks
This year, we will award AWANA Bucks as follows:
1 AWANA buck for wearing your AWANA shirt
1 AWANA buck for bringing your book from home
1 AWANA buck for having your mom/dad sign that you worked on your book at home
1 AWANA buck for completing a section in your book
2 AWANA bucks for bringing a first time guest to AWANA
5 AWANA bucks bringing a mission item
AWANA Bucks for participating in a Theme Night will be awarded as specified on the calendar.
Maximum daily AWANA buck award - 10 AWANA bucks
(excludes mission and theme night awards)

To cash in your AWANA Bucks, we will have AWANA Store on the following dates:
