Evangelism
In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus commanded His disciples to “go into all the
world and preach the Gospel to every nation”. First Baptist Church is
working to fulfill this command of our Lord in several ways:
- Personal witnessing - preached, taught and encouraged for every
Christian
- Witness training – periodically offered to equip us to share personal
testimonies
- Organized visitation - through GROW (God Rewards Our Work) on Tuesday
nights at 6:30 PM.
 Through GROW, we are trying to consistently reach people for Christ on a
weekly basis. GROW provides opportunities to visit potential and new
members, write letters and make phone calls. In exchange for one hour and 15
minutes of your time each month, we can make a difference in the lives of
people in the Springville area.
Our efforts in GROW are based on: 1) People’s need for God; 2) God’s
desire to have fellowship with people; and 3) The Master’s own plan of
evangelism and outreach.
